Going through a recent separation or divorce and finding it overwhelming? Wondering how you're going to get through this - and survive? Our group deals with the different steps of divorce and separation grief the sessions in the group allow us to discuss issues such as rebuilding self-esteem, handling stress and depression, dealing with children and family members, and beginning a new life.
This group therapy and interaction with each other we are able to discuss and give our own experiences with going through a separation or divorce and seeking support from others. Focus is on gaining strength through this difficult transition. Psycho educational as well as supportive, members learn how to deal more effectively with children, the court system, co-parenting functions, friends and relatives.
Often we ask these simple questions and we have no answers it makes us confused and depressed. When a family is in the stages of either a separation or divorce, everyone suffers. How does one put the hurt aside and deal with today?
The trauma of separation and divorce creates a challenge of rebuilding a major part of your life. Becoming a single individual again is a monumental change in life.
Our Separated and Divorced Support Ministry will help you share experiences and draw from common strengths as you continue to live your lives. Please join us for the rebuilding of your life and most of all you as an individual with a new spiritually guided you.
Meetings are the third Tuesday of each month in Meeting Room 4 upstairs of the school from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
During the summer when the school is closed we meet on same days in the children corner in the church.
Reminder: This is a support group, not a social group.
The program is designed to be "open" so that you can begin coming any week we meet.
